About Us
The Healthcare Industry Resilience Collaborative (HIRC) is a neutral, member-led nonprofit that converts healthcare-specific standards into sourcing-ready tools — badges, diagnostics, and the HIRC Vault — so providers and suppliers can reduce duplicate diligence and protect continuity of patient care.
Mission
Build and operationalize standards, tools, and credentials that make resiliency measurable, comparable, and deployable across healthcare supply chains.
Vision
A transparent, resilient supply chain aligned with continuity-of-care objectives.
How we work
- Convene. Providers, suppliers, GPOs, and partners co-design standards.
- Define. Healthcare-specific diagnostics and scoring rubrics.
- Deliver. Convert standards into deployable tools: playbooks, Vault, badges, and Academy programming.
- Scale. Publish credentials and a canonical, sourcing-ready dataset for procurement use.
What we deliver
- Resiliency & Transparency Badges. Standardized, publishable credentials for suppliers.
- HIRC Vault. Secure one-to-many data sharing.
- Diagnostics & Playbooks. Assessor summaries, scorecards, and remediation guidance.
- HIRC Academy & Councils. Learning, pilots, and governance that operationalize standards.
Thank you to our continuing founding members:
Providers: AdventHealth, BJC HealthCare, Corewell Health, Mayo Clinic, Northwestern Medicine, and Stanford HealthCare.
Suppliers: Baxter Healthcare, Cardinal Health, Johnson & Johnson, Medline, Medtronic, and Stryker.
HIRC is uniquely positioned to create a common place for suppliers, providers, GPOs, industry forums, and academics to work in transparent and open dialog. This is how we collectively will change and improve healthcare resiliency.
